Host farms are similar to Home stay with accommodation located in the country. Students have the opportunity to do farm activities or just relax and enjoy the great Australian country life. Activities such as star watching is great for students and adults alike.
The "Australian Farmhost Program" is available at areas (regions) located throughout Australia in New South Wales, Queensland, and Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia and Tasmania with over 300 specially selected host farms providing over 700 beds.

All farms in the AFT "Australian Farmhost Program" are genuine working farms. Guests are housed with the host family and are allocated with hosts that may share their personal pursuits and interests.
- Guests are hosted two to four persons on genuine working farms and stay and enjoy meals in the family homestead with the host family
- Packages include accommodation and all meals (Dinner and Breakfast or Dinner and Breakfast and lunch.
- Transfers are provided by host farmers from/to the local farmhost collection or meeting point located in the centre of the town.
