Group Farmstay is where groups of 10 or more persons stay on the one farm in regional or country Australia and is an ideal opportunity for common interest and student groups to experience and stay in an Australian rural country setting and enjoy comfortable country accommodation and great Australian meals and experience farm activities and farm life.

Group Farms are located throughout Australia in New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

Some farmstay offer scheduled programs for student groups including meals and activities.

Farm activities which are available at most properties, vary  from property to property. Farmstay activities include horse riding, demonstrations of dog mustering of sheep and cattle,sheep shearing, hay rides, canoeing, whip cracking demonstrating, native animal night spotting, camp fires and feeding farm animals.

Many farmstay properties are working Australian farms where their main income is derived from farming.

Accommodation varies from twin and double rooms with private bathrooms through to multi share/bunk style in dormitories with shared bathrooms. Many farmstay properties have restaurants where wholesome Australian country meals are served.
